Vegan Mango Smoothie Recipe

Smoothies are perfect for any meal. They are healthy, easy and quick to make. Vegan smoothies you make at home can help you to boost your immune system, make you healthy and give you the amount of energy you need to get through your day, not to mention fill you with the nutrients and vitamins that are required to lead a healthy life.

I know, I know. I know what you are all thinking. I just posted a vegan banana smoothie in earlier post the other day, so why am I sharing another recipe now? Well, you’ve guessed it. I love smoothies! It’s summer now and I find that my smoothies without milk are my go-to breakfasts and snacks throughout the day. If you are travelling, then you can go for some snacks like shown in this article.

If you have just started out on your vegan journey, and you are missing your normal milky smoothies,  don’t worry, you still can drink a healthy vegan smoothie without milk (dairy milk that is)! The only thing you need to do is to adapt other smoothie recipes and include vegan alternatives and substitutes like non-dairy milks in this list and the flavor will be the same, or even better!  So there is no excuse that you shouldn’t get out of your comfort zone and taste new vegan smoothies.

THIS HEALTHY VEGAN SMOOTHIE IS PACKED WITH VITAMINS, MINERALS AND PLENTY OF FIBER LIKE QUINOA SMOOTHIE RECIPE SHOWN IN THIS POST WHICH IS RICH IN PROTEINS. THE ANTIOXIDANTS CONTAINED IN THE FRUITS OF THIS SMOOTHIE ARE ESSENTIAL IN PREVENTING DISEASES, SUCH AS CANCERS, INCLUDING LEUKEMIA, BREAST AND PROSTATE CANCER. IT ALSO PREVENTS ALZHEIMER AND PARKINSON’S DISEASE AND A GREAT OPTION AS IT HAS NO DAIRY AT ALL!

This mango smoothie without milk is great to make as a vegan breakfast or vegan snack anytime during the day and it’s also a good option when you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen or when you’re in a rush. This one in-particular is a delicious tropical smoothie that’s vegan and can help you refuel after a great workout as well.  If you’re looking for vegan recipes, plan to become a vegan or if you are a vegan, keep reading I’m sure you’re going to love my recipe.

VEGAN MANGO SMOOTHIE

“SWEET & DELICIOUS MANGO SMOOTHIE WITHOUT MILK”

For another yummy and refreshing summer smoothie, I love the idea of adding strawberries to a banana and mango smoothie as well. For this recipe, please check out this blog post and her Mango, Strawberry & Banana bubble tea recipe.  Like I mention below, Maggie also adds plant based milk, almond milk and chia seeds in her smoothie.

Also, if you have kids, it’s again, great for breakfast, snack or additionally, a great recipe to make altogether in the kitchen like chocolate banana muffins in this recipe, pancakes (you can prepare Bisquick pancakes with this recipe) , and such yummy dishes.

If you’re tired of listening to “I’m hungry” all day long, just make a very smooth and creamy smoothie and they are going to love it because it’s going to look and taste like ice cream! Even their friends are going to love it and they’re going to want more! If you are preparing this smoothie with almond milk than freeze it well with these hacks.

TIP: YOU CAN ALSO ADD NUTS AND SEEDS TO MAKE IT MORE HEALTHIER AND MORE FILLING. A GOOD OPTION IS TO ADD CHIA SEEDS BECAUSE THEY HAVE LOADS OF PROTEIN.

Best vegan Mango Smoothie

Yields2 Servings
Prep Time10 minsCook Time10 minsTotal Time20 mins

 1 qt ripe banana
1 cup or 100 g of frozen chopped mango (or fresh mango if available)
1 cup or 200 ml of coconut water (you can change for water or plant milks)
 2 tbsp shredded coconut

The smoothies that have caught my eyes are her Vegan Tropical Dream and her Strawberry-Coconut Cacao Bliss and another recipe that you will love is coconut cream pie like shown here, it tastes great. They look so yummy and delicious! As I typically just keep to fruit smoothies, I really would like to take a step out of my comfort zone and try the cacao smoothie recipe of hers- it looks divine!

However, onto our recipe, let’s start making it!

1

In a blender, add the frozen cubed mango (or fresh mango if its available)

2

Add your ripe banana. Like I’ve mentioned in previous recipes, the riper the banana, the better because it’s sweeter.

3

Sprinkle the shredded coconut on the top.

4

Pour the coconut water (or plant based milks if you want it creamy) inside the blender and blend it for some minutes, until it’s smooth and creamy.

5

Store it in a jar or a glass and it’s ready for you to drink!
